Grilled Salmon with Miso Paste

A quick and healthy way to grill Asian style salmon.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Salmon fillet bones removed, descaled, cut into 2-3” pieces
  • 2 tbsp miso paste
  • 6 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chives chopped
  • Fresh Ground pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rub the non-skin side of the salmon pieces with 1 tbsp miso paste.
  2. Make a marinade by mixing together: 2 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp ginger and 1 tsp sesame oil.
  3. Pour marinade over fish and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Make the sauce by mixing: 1 tbsp miso paste, 1 tbsp ginger, 4 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tsp soy sauce. Add ground pepper and chives and keep aside.
  5. Heat a well oiled grill to medium high (350* to 400* F).
  6. Add the salmon, skin side down and grill covered for 5-6 minutes.
  7. Flip the fish pieces and grill on the other side for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Check the side of the fish to make sure that the color changes through.
  9. DON’T OVERCOOK.
  10. Transfer to a plate and top with sauce.
